Birthday Weekend

My 30th birthday was this weekend and we had lots of fun celebrating.  The girls loved helping me unwrap some presents.  Here are a few pictures from our weekend festivities.  On Sunday evening we went to some friends' house for a pumpkin carving party and the girls gave their new Halloween costumes a test drive.  Katherine is not excited about being a bunny, but Annabelle seems to enjoy being a puppy (as long as her paws aren't on...).  The other pics are from an amazing family trip to the zoo yesterday.  It was cold and grey and the zoo was literally empty.  It was as if we'd rented out the whole zoo just for ourselves, and many of the animals were out and very active.  Kirsten and I stayed warm with hot cocoa.  Annabelle and Katherine stayed warmed snuggling on our tummies.

  2. Thanks Jeff! You'll be at the zoo before you know it- I bet you can get creative and have some extremely cute costumes for your girls this year too!

  3. There is a cute "two peas in a pod" costume that looks pretty cute, but we just have not been able to put it together in time. Would be fun though!

  4. Oops, using the word "cute" a bit too much as of late.....

  5. Haha, gotcha- yes Amelie and Isabelle would be perfect peas in a pod! And not to worry- I'm pretty sure it's written somewhere important that dads of twin girls are free to use "cute" just as much as they want!
